GEAR AND STUFF I LOVE

CAMERA BODIES

Canon 1DX Mark II
This camera is a beast! I love the color and the focus really can't be beat. The files have so much data in them that even a super blown out image can recover a lot of the image. This is my workhorse for every wedding.

Canon 5D Mark IV
Super solid camera, great focus and amazing low light capabilities. I don't love the color of the images though. I use it a lot for reception photos since it's great in low light and it's light weight compared to the 1DXii

Canon 5D Mark III
Doesn't have the same low light capabilities and a little slower to focus but still my favorite color out of any other camera I've shot. I have been using this just for sunset pics and it's amazing!

LENSES

50MM F1.2
By far my favorite lens. I use this on nearly all of my portraits and just a ton throughout the day. It's well worth the investment over the other 50mm versions.

35MM F1.4 II
A lens that I use a lot! For portrait sessions I only take this and my 50mm 1.2. It's just great for wider shots and avoid a lot of the distortion at the edges. Creates more intimate images because you feel like you'll really in there a bit more. This Markii version focuses much better than the previous one. Definitely a must have!

85MM F1.4
I love this lens and wish I remembered to use it more. I love the 85mm because of the little bit of extra compression that you get in the images. It's super super clean and makes details look really good as well as making it easy to get great candid shots without having to stand so far away from your subject.

100MM F2.8 Macro II
I use this lens really just for getting ready details and for rings shots so it doesn't get a ton of use...however, I don't leave home without it. So good to have a great macro lens to capture the tiny details of the day and this really does the job super well!

24MM F1.4
Perfectly lens for when you're in one of those locations where you're really trying to show off the whole landscape. Such a clean lets and really allows you to show off the views. It's also pretty much my exclusive lens on my camera once the dancing starts at receptions!

135MM F2.0
Love this lens! Such a gorgeous telephoto and still a prime lens. Opens up to F2.0 so it'll let a lot of light in as we as getting you some gorgeous bokeh! My favorite for ceremonies and I love having my 2nd shooters use it throughout the day to get sneaky candids!

70-200MM F2.8 III
My only zoom lens and really just there for my 'just in case' situations. You know, the church ceremony where you have to stand at the very back because the church lady says so. Well this will let you look like you're shooting from a lot closer up. I don't use it very often but I'm sure glad that it's in my bag, just in case!

BAGS

Think Tank Airport Security 3.0
My main camera bag. I take this to every shoot and every wedding. It fits in the overhead of nearly every domestic flight. I can fit all of my lenses as well as 3 camera bodies and 3 flashes and a few accessories. Oh and it's pretty darn indestructable!

Think Tank Retrospective 30 V2.0
This is my latest bag purchase. It's been so perfect for all of my 'extra' stuff. In here I fit my 15inch Macbook Pro, my styling kits, two video lights, my water bottle, and my electronics binder (I'll link in the 'extras' section). On the back there's a luggage pass through so you can slide it onto the handle of the rolling bag and be on your merry way!

Shootsac Lens Bag
Couldn't do my job without this thing. I carry four lenses, a bottle of water and one extra pouch to carry things like gum or a phone/wallet etc. It's made of neoprene so it's super soft and I leave my lens caps and backs off in order to change lenses very quickly. All of my 2nd shooters bought one now!

Spider Holster Black Widow
Oh how I love this little thing! It's made to be put on your belt so you can snap your camera to it and be hands free for things. However, I put it on my Shootsac strap so that everything is in one place and it works great! It might be a little tough to get on the bag, but trust me it'll fit!

Think Tank Memory Card Wallet
Easy place to keep all of your memory cards in one spot. I strap this to my Shootsac so it never falls out and it holds a ton of cards. Even has a spot for business cards!

EXTRAS

Loupedeck+
It's like a keyboard just for editing. Links up to Lighroom with different nobs and dials for things like exposure, contrast, white balance etc so that you can quickly adjust your images. You can also customize the dials and buttons to do more complex things like 'open image in Photoshop' so that you can finish up your images in there. Most of you know I hate Lightroom, but this is making me love it!

Pixelflash CF Card reader
I'm sure you already have a card reader or two. But I love these because they're so small! I plug four of these into a USB hub (linked below) and, using Photo Mechanic, download them all at once. So easy and so fast!

Anker USB Hub
I use this with the card readers above to plug in all of my cards at once and get things moving and onto my hard drives super fast!

Bagsmart Electronics Organizer
With all of the stuff linked above, it's gotta go somewhere right? This thing is amazing. Holds a ton of iPhone cables for me, my Gnarbox, latop charger, card readers, usb hub, and I keep a pen and some extra CF cards in there just in case too.

Stackable Organizer for CF Cards
I keep all of my memory cards in a safe until the client has receive their full set of images. Having these stackable organizer helps me keep things in a tidy spot. Each section holds up to five CF cards, perfect for one wedding. I toss in a Post-it note with the couple's name on it so I know who is who and lock it up after each wedding. So simple, so easy.

Gnarbox 2.0
Obsessed with this little gadget. Has a little hard drive (I have the 500GB version) as well as an SD card reader built into it. Awesome! Can download your cards in a breeze during the wedding day or on the drive home so you can get home and just relax instead of staying up all night to download cards. Don't use SD cards? No problem, you can plug in your card reader for CF or whatever cards you use. You can also plug in an external hard drive to download to that instead of using the internal Gnarbox drive. It's amazing.

Flat Organizer for CF Cards
While the stackable organizer is used to store my CF cards that have files that still need to be edited on them, I use this organizer to store my memory cards once the gallery has been delivered to the clients. It let's me know that these cards are available to format and use at my next shoot or wedding.
